Emberfall Legends

Emberfall Legends is the rare mobile RPG that respects your attention. Combat is turn-based, but it moves fast, and positioning your party on the small grid actually decides fights. I lost a boss twice before realizing I'd been ignoring the terrain bonuses.

The writing carries it. Companions have real arcs, and choices in side quests ripple into later scenes in ways I didn't expect from a phone game. The map is dense without being overwhelming.

Menus are the one weak spot — inventory management gets fiddly late-game. But the moment-to-moment play is excellent, and it saves progress cleanly so you can dip in for one battle.
